Media Relations

Since 1998, we've solidified relationships with the country's most influential writers, reporters and news producers and are ready to put that network to work for you. From Good Morning America, TODAY and CNN, to Good Housekeeping, Prevention and The New York Times, we've got the contacts nationwide to help make your brand a household name.

Broadcast coverage

Broadcast media coverage can make or break a brand. Hey, everyone gets their 15 minutes, right? With Crier, sometimes you get a lot more.
  • "Egg Mixer" Media Events

Tasked with creating PR buzz for Davidson’s Safest Choice Pasteurized Eggs, Crier conceptualized, planned, and executed "Egg Mixer" media events in Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami with celebrity Top Chef Brooke Williamson. Since Safest Choice Eggs are safe to eat raw, we kicked off each night with a raw egg shooter challenge before Chef Williamson led private, hands-on cooking classes with our A-list attendees which included Los Angeles Magazine, KCRW, Hungry Girl and more. An egg-celent time was had by all!

  • Austria Uncorked

The Austrian Wine Marketing Board enlisted Crier to produce their first ticketed wine tastings, Austria Uncorked, in NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago. Crier organized and staffed these turnkey events and came up with the Austria Uncorked name, logo, website and campaign slogan: Get your grüv on! The result? More than 270 consumers attended in San Francisco and more than 650 in New York City. Crier also secured a whopping 147,913,943 media impressions.

  • World Gyoza Eating Championship

Crier has been generating publicity for Day-Lee Foods World Gyoza Eating Championship year after year, securing media placements in the dozens of media outlets including the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, TMZ, E! News, KNBC-TV, and a returning champion, Joey Chestnut, even co-hosted a Fox 11 News (Los Angeles) segment.
  • The ‘Lightweight’ Champ

Crier was tasked with positioning Halo Top as the best light ice cream on the market. The result? Halo Top was named ‘best ice cream’ by top media outlets including GQ, Cooking Light, Men's Health and Prevention – twice!

  • Erchonia Medical

Crier was hired to secure national media visibility for a new, non-invasive, body-contouring laser from Erchonia called the Zerona. We secured national before and after segments on the TODAY Show, CBS Early Show, The Doctors and Good Morning America. We also secured health coverage in top women’s magazines including SELF, Harper's Bazaar and Allure.
  • Tofurky Tuesdays

Pledge to go meat-free—preferably Tuesdays—and help save the planet in the process. A simple idea that generated a lot of press coverage for our client Turtle Island Foods.
  • Pitch Me!

In 1949, Vitamix founder William “Papa” Barnard created the first infomercial in the U.S. Leveraging this history, our "Pitch Me" promotion sought to find the next video demonstration star. We built a microsite for the crowd-sourced entries and secured national coverage in the process - including a syndicated article by the Associated Press.
  • Breyers’ YoCrunch Yogurt

Crier executed a simple yet cost-effective Halloween promotion on behalf of Breyers. If consumers sent us candy wrappers—any wrapper—we’d send them a coupon for a free, treat-topped Breyers’ YoCrunch Yogurt. Crier garnered national and regional media coverage, not to mention thousands of candy wrappers!
  • Andrea Electronics

Crier leveraged Andrea Electronics' 50 year history to tell the story of its first consumer-facing product—SuperBeam™ "boom-free" USB headsets. We secured several high-profile placements in USA Today and The New York Times along with plenty of positive technology blog coverage and rave reviews from Gadget Guy and Mac Observer. Crier’s efforts resulted in 187,911,655 media impressions overall.
  • Cosmi Corporation

Cosmi Corporation sold more units of productivity software than even Microsoft. Yet CEO George Johnson doggedly never used a computer. We found out his employees finally gifted him one only to discover he used his monitor as post-it note holder! This quirky peg won us a 7-page feature story in Inc., and features in BusinessWeek, in The Los Angeles Times and on NPR.
  • Take a look at the bright side

Crier was tasked with spreading consumer awareness of Carex Health Brands’ Bright Light Therapy Lamps in treating the winter blues. We provided media with studies that not only demonstrated the efficacy of the lamps in treating SAD but also explained the many year round uses for the machine. Crier secured top placements in national newspapers, blogs and online news sites — including Health, Real Simple, Bustle and more.
  • A Head for Business

When 21-year-old Andrew Fisher auctioned off his forehead for ad space on Ebay, Crier’s client SnoreStop had the winning bid and an international media firestorm ensued. The Associated Press, Wall Street Journal, Good Morning America, CNBC, New York Times and Inside Edition covered the story – most using the "Head For Business" line found in Crier's original press release.
  • Internal PR

Our internal campaign for Western Governors University helped motivate faculty and employees to keep their focus on student success. Our creative touch points included logos, monthly postcards, screen savers, custom magic 8 balls and other creative ways to keep the message top-of-mind.
